Terms & refunds
Plain-language terms for using Rede. Subscribe monthly or buy for life, get managed cleanup and free updates, and ask for a refund if it isn’t for you.
Who you’re dealing with
Rede is a macOS app operated by Roltaire, at Rede, Roltaire, Town End, Gildersome, Leeds, UK, LS27 2HF. Payments are handled by our merchant of record, Dodo Payments, who sells the licence to you and appears as the seller on your receipt. You can reach us at support@torede.com.
Your licence
A Rede purchase grants you a personal licence to use the macOS app. A licence key activates up to three Macs; you can deactivate a Mac from inside the app to free a slot. Don’t share keys or resell them. A monthly licence remains active while the subscription is current. A lifetime licence does not expire.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rede’s managed cloud cleanup. Do not buy Rede for, or make its managed cleanup available to, anyone under 18.
Updates
Your plan includes updates at no extra cost for as long as you use Rede. A future major version may be offered as a separate paid upgrade, which is always optional for lifetime owners.
Cloud cleanup
Monthly and lifetime licences include the same managed cloud cleanup within a fair-use limit designed for ordinary human dictation rather than automated or abusive use. The monthly plan renews until cancelled; the lifetime plan has no expiry or top-up. If the limit is reached, managed cleanup pauses and Rede can use a downloaded on-device cleanup model instead. Transcription and on-device cleanup work offline and never touch the cloud.
Refunds
Payments and refunds are handled by our merchant of record. If Rede isn’t working for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase and we’ll make it right. Email support@torede.com or reply to your receipt. This goodwill window is in addition to any statutory rights you have.
Acceptable use
Use Rede lawfully. We can’t support tampering with the app, working around the licence, or using it to break the law. We may suspend a licence that is abused or shared in breach of these terms.
Warranty & liability
Rede is provided as-is. We work hard to make it accurate and reliable, but we can’t guarantee it will be error-free for every workflow. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid. That limit does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited, including fraud or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing here removes the statutory rights you have as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above when we do, and flag material changes. A later update does not remove rights already granted for a completed purchase.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the courts of England and Wales. This does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections or access to local courts where applicable law requires them.
